At A Shade Better Windows we sell custom blinds, providing professional measuring, consultation, and installations. Choose from a large selection including vertical blinds, mini blinds, cellular shades, roller shades in a variety of colors, textures, weights, including sheers to blackouts, vinyls to fabrics.

In 1988 we began a business of selling wallpaper, paint, blinds and decorating supplies.

Since then we have been providing not only painting and wallpapering services, but also have continued to sell window treatments.

During that time, it became clear to us that Hunter Douglas made superior quality blinds at a good price. When we closed our store in 2001, we continued to sell Hunter Douglas and Andrew Dutton not only because of their superior quality, but also due to their exceptional service and their willingness to stand behind their products.

Hunter Douglas blinds are made in the USA, and many of the blinds are made in Maryland, while Andrew Dutton shades are made locally in Avon MA. Our choices in suppliers shows our dedication to our motto of “Local products that help the local economy.”

Many of Hunter Douglas blinds are energy efficient, which translates into more efficient heating/cooling costs for you. To add to their impressive resume, they also invented the mini blind and the cellular shade.

Cheap is not the same as value. Hunter Douglas provides a limited lifetime warranty on their products. They are easy to maintain, and the mini blinds have an electro static paint used on them which helps repel dust. Most of their products only need a light dusting or vacuuming to stay clean.

Understanding the customers needs and applications has always been #1 with us, and are always willing to work with a customer’s budget by offering a variety of products in a variety of price ranges.

We will also install blinds purchased from other vendors as well as curtain rods and soft treatments!
